Ever Dream This Man?

Ever Dream This Man?

This really creeped me out. I don't think I've ever dreamed of this (though after reading this I may!), but the picture alone is heebee jeebee-inducing, let alone the explanations. I'm pretty sure David Lynch has dreamed of this guy.

In January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams. In more than one occasion that man has given her advice on her private life. The woman swears she has never met the man in her life.

That portrait lies forgotten on the psychiatrist's desk for a few days until one day another patient recognizes that face and says that the man has often visited him in his dreams. He also claims he has never seen that man in his waking life.

The psychiatrist decides to send the portrait to some of his colleagues that have patients with recurrent dreams. Within a few months, four patients recognize the man as a frequent presence in their own dreams. All the patients refer to him as THIS MAN.

From January 2006 until today, at least 2000 people have claimed they have seen this man in their dreams, in many cities all over the world: Los Angeles, Berlin, Sao Paulo, Tehran, Beijing, Rome, Barcelona, Stockholm, Paris, New Dehli, Moskow etc.

At the moment there is no ascertained relation or common trait among the people that have dreamed of seeing this man. Moreover, no living man has ever been recognized as resembling the man of the portrait by the people who have seen this man in their dreams.

The aim of this website is:
- to help those who have seen this man in their dreams and to foster communication among them;
- to understand who this man is and why he appears in an apparently pattern-less array of situations in the dreams of such diverse human subjects.

  1. This is really cool. I have very vivid and recurring dreams (sometimes) but I've never seen "this man" (that I can remember, obviously). I think I'm happy that I haven't, lol.

  2. I usually have very vivid dreams as well. But this thing is creepy as hell. Some of the testimonials from people on that site are...unusual.

  3. I shared this on Facebook and it started a mini-discussion. Everyone thought "this man" looked like a balding, Greek, child molester. It reminded me of how some people believe that everyone in the world has a twin somewhere, so if the guy who looks like this ever happens upon it he's going to read about how creepy he is, lol. That made me laugh. Poor guy.

  4. The eyebrows are what really make it creepy. That and the shape of the head. And the largeness of the facial features. Okay, the whole thing makes it creepy.

    I'm not sure how long this site has been up, or how many people have seen it, but I do wonder if a guy who looks a lot like this has ever happened upon it. Or if there is even a guy out there who looks like this...that makes it creepy to think no one who looks like this exists in reality.
